Biography: 

Jonell, a native of Union City, Ohio, is pursuing the MPHM degree part-time while working in Dr. Anne Dorrance's laboratory in the Department of Plant Pathology at Ohio State's Ohio Agricultural Research and Development Center in Wooster. She is interesting in agriculture, agronomic crops and plant health. Outside of work and classes, she enjoys walking her Great Dane Georgia, gardening, hiking, and reading.

Experience

Dr. Anne Dorrance’s lab, 2015- Present; Research Assistant. Manage and maintain field plot trials across the state for seed treatment, soybean cyst nematode, and white mold studies.

DuPont Pioneer- LeRoy, Illinois, Summer 2014 ; Agronomy Intern. Inspected parent seed soybean fields for crop status, disease, off types, and other abnormalities in central Illinois and western Indiana.

Harvest Land Cooperative – Richmond, Indiana, Summer 2013; Field Technician. Identified noxious weeds, crop diseases, seasonal insects, and other abnormalities while scouting corn, soybean, wheat, and alfalfa fields in western Ohio and eastern Indiana.
